Equity mutual funds attracted a net sum of Rs 15,890.38 crore in April 2022. In comparison, equity mutual funds saw a net inflow of Rs 28,463.49 crore in March and Rs 19,705.27 crore in February, data from the Association of Mutual Funds in India (Amfi) showed on Tuesday.
Overall, the mutual fund industry registered a net inflow of Rs 72,846.79 crore in April, compared with a net outflow of Rs 69,883.27 crore in the preceding month.
Total assets under management (AUM) of the mutual fund industry increased by Rs 47000.69 crore to Rs 38,03,683.26 lakh crore at the end of April.
Equity exchange-traded funds (ETFs) saw an inflow of Rs 8,662.80 crore last month, a rise of 25.43% compared with inflow of Rs 6,906.52 crore in March.
Investors put in Rs 7,240.19 crore into hybrid funds in April, as against an outflow of Rs 3,603.61 crore in March.
The debt segment saw a net inflow of Rs 54,756.60 crore last month. Investors put in Rs 28,730.99 crore in liquid funds, in contrast to an outflow of Rs 44,603.72 crore in the previous month.
