Net inflows into equity-oriented mutual fund (MF) schemes rose by 25% to Rs 15,685.57 crore in February 2023 from Rs 12,546.51 crore in January 2023, according to the monthly data released by the Association of Mutual Funds in India (AMFI).
Within the equity category, the Sectoral/Thematic Funds segment recorded the largest net inflow of Rs 3,855.90 crore while the Dividend Yield Fund segment recorded the least net inflow of Rs 47.93 crore during the period under review.
Total net inflows into index funds, ETFs and Fund of funds investing overseas aggregated at Rs 6,488.18 crore in February 2023.
Hybrid schemes, which invest in a mix of debt and equity, saw net inflow of Rs 460.32 crore. In this category, the Multi Asset Allocation Funds recorded highest net inflows of Rs 510.51 crore while the Equity Savings Funds registered the highest net outflows of Rs 205.68 crore during the period under review.
Five NFOs in the equity segment helped net Rs 5,048 crore in February 2023.
Debt-oriented schemes received net outflow of Rs 13,815.23 crore in February 2023 as compared with Rs 10,316.15 crore of net outflows recorded in January 2023. Liquid Funds recorded net outflow of Rs 11,304.25 crore.
Net assets under management at the end of February 2023 stood at Rs 39,46,256.95 crore as against Rs 39,62,405.52 crore at the end of January 2023.
