Reliance Industries Ltd spurts 1.61%, gains for five straight sessions

Reliance Industries Ltd rose for a fifth straight session today. The stock is quoting at Rs 1497.9, up 1.61% on the day as on 12:49 IST on the NSE. The benchmark NIFTY is down around 0.14% on the day, quoting at 12157.55. The Sensex is at 41396.05, down 0.15%. Reliance Industries Ltd has dropped around 1.7% in last one month.

Meanwhile, Nifty Energy index of which Reliance Industries Ltd is a constituent, has dropped around 5.28% in last one month and is currently quoting at 15191.25, down 0.12% on the day. The volume in the stock stood at 68.99 lakh shares today, compared to the daily average of 89.1 lakh shares in last one month.

The benchmark February futures contract for the stock is quoting at Rs 1499.05, up 1.7% on the day. Reliance Industries Ltd is up 20.37% in last one year as compared to a 13.36% gain in NIFTY and a 3.8% gain in the Nifty Energy index.

The PE of the stock is 25.33 based on TTM earnings ending December 19.
