Steel Authority of India Ltd Spurts 2.39%, S&P BSE Metal index Gains 1.66%

Steel Authority of India Ltd gained 2.39% today to trade at Rs 91.95. The S&P BSE Metal index is up 1.66% to quote at 15902.91. The index is up 15.7 % over last one month. Among the other constituents of the index, Jindal Steel & Power Ltd increased 2.35% and Tata Steel Ltd added 1.81% on the day. The S&P BSE Metal index went up 171.23 % over last one year compared to the 67.27% surge in benchmark SENSEX.

Steel Authority of India Ltd has added 29.05% over last one month compared to 15.7% gain in S&P BSE Metal index and 2% drop in the SENSEX. On the BSE, 2.65 lakh shares were traded in the counter so far compared with average daily volumes of 34.61 lakh shares in the past one month. The stock hit a record high of Rs 93.4 on 06 Apr 2021. The stock hit a 52-week low of Rs 22.4 on 07 Apr 2020.
